Deaconess Affiliation

It’s a New Day for Healthcare in Western Kentucky

We’re so pleased to announce that on September 21, 2018, Methodist Health and Deaconess formed an affiliation that will transform healthcare for patients throughout western Kentucky. This affiliation is built on a shared vision that will improve access to high quality services, enhance efficiency for our patients and yield a healthier, brighter future for the communities we serve.

Healthcare is changing at a rapid pace, making it very difficult for small healthcare systems like ours to thrive without support from the community around us. This affiliation seeks to ensure the long-term viability of the Hospital as we continue to provide the same Methodist Health brand of medicine to the communities we serve — built on the principles of exceptional care, compassion and communication. Patients in our service area of Henderson, Union and Webster counties will now have improved access to the high-quality services they need to achieve lifelong health. This new affiliation will help us fulfill our promise to patients: the promise of comprehensive healthcare, close to home.

Our vision is to work with Deaconess and others to build and position Methodist Health as a comprehensive healthcare delivery system to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our patients. This affiliation will allow Methodist Health to remain independent and under local control, but the support of Deaconess will help us make this vision a reality as we further our mission of providing safe, compassionate, high-quality and cost-effective services to address the mental, spiritual and physical needs of the people in the communities we serve.
