Methodist Health Educational Assistance

If you have thought about going back to school to earn a college degree or would like to become certified in your area of work, Methodist Health offers a benefit to help you reach that goal with Educational Assistance.

Educational Assistance has been offered to employees since 1995 and is designed to give financial assistance to offset certification cost or college tuition, books and lab fees. To be eligible, you must have worked for Methodist Health for six months, be in good standing with no active written warnings on file and be in a position budgeted for 20 hours or more per week.

Employees can receive up to $4,000 per fiscal year (July-June) for college expenses. The amount of money per student is determined by the level of degree the employee is pursuing and if that occupation is critical and necessary to the operation of the Hospital. Reimbursement for an initial certification test, including course work and or books, is half of the cost, up to $300. The costs of re-certifications are not eligible for reimbursement.

If you are interested and would like to learn more about this benefit, please review the Educational Assistance policy or contact Human Resources at ext. 7540.
