Methodist Physician Group welcomes two new providers
Methodist Physician Group is pleased to announce the addition of a new general surgeon and pediatrician to the Methodist Health team. Amber Koon, DO, has joined Methodist Surgical Services and her husband, Garrett Koon, DO, has joined Methodist Pediatrics.
Dr. Amber Koon performs a variety of surgical procedures with a special interest in anti-reflux procedures, breast cancer surgery, hernia repairs and robot assisted minimally invasive techniques. She received her medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, CO and completed her residency at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, MI. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO.
Dr. Amber Koon practices at Methodist Surgical Services located at 1413 North Elm Street, Suite 204 in the Atkinson Building in Henderson and at Methodist Health located at 4604 US Highway 60 West in Morganfield. Dr. Garrett Koon specializes in the care of children from birth to 18 years of age. He received his medical degree from Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, MI. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in forensic science from Columbia College in Columbia, MO.
